| Under
new management, Your Kind of Tree Service has a revised corporate
mission. The unprecedented population growth and real estate development
underway in Manatee County increases the importance of programs
to sustain the the urban forest. A diversity of healthy trees is
essential for wildlife ecology, air purification, the water cycle
and filtration of agricultural polutants such as phosphate runoff.
Increasingly, trees on city, county and state lands are managed
by arborists and landscape ecologists, with maintenance carried
out by work crews on a 3 or 5 year cycle. Horticulturally correct
pruning practices are carried out, diseased or infested trees are
removed and appropriate tree health care is provided where needed.
However the large proportion of the urban forest residing on residential
and commercial property does not recieve such well organized oversight.
Mark
DeCamillis, the new company Director, holds a Ph.D in Genetics and
is an ISA certified Arborist. Sharon Doll, the new company Vice-President,
holds a Ph.D in Cell Biology. Managed from this strong biological
perpective, the mission of Your Kind of Tree Service is to provide
a level of tree care for our clients that matches or exceeds that
recieved by managed trees on government lands.
Our satisfaction
comes from providing customers with the best service available at
affordable prices while at the same time entering a partnership
with our clients to promote a sustainable urban forest that will
benefit the ecology of our community.
